Welcome

Welcome to my website, I am Marcie, a recognised leading expert on gathering, processing, storing and cooking with acorns. I am the author of "Eating Acorns" as well as several research papers about acorns. My life on Kea is very far from my Silicon Valley upbringing and university experience at UC Berkeley. To document and share my experiences, I have also created a YouTube channel highlighting the unusual life of a native Californian living in Greece since 1984. The channel is a natural extension of my passion for storytelling and keen interest in video editing.

Service Description

My journey to reimagine and rebuild an old stone house near the sea in East Attiki with a view of islands on the horizon. I began working, alone for the first months, from February 2020. Excerpts from my everyday life on a Greek island. Acorns and my unusual occupation feature throughout the year from time to time.
